Kezia took the van to school today and brought these gifts home to her sick Mom...a 2L of gingerale and a macaroon from Jenna Rae Cakes. She rocks.

When you're feeling a little bit overwhelmed with your job during this report card season it's such a treat to be blessed with not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4! gifts of love this morning from my Grade 1 friends. One stencil drawing, one Remembrance day colouring page, a perler bead heart and a leaf (that was covered in frost). I love Grade 1.

I bet these students didn't even know it was my half birthday when they brought me these gifts today! The cinnamon bun was delicious from a current student and the cherry coke was a gift from a former student's family.

While I was away with my teacher peeps, there was some excitement at home too. Kaden had his first friend group gathering at our house for pizza and a movie with both boys and girls in attendance yesterday. Today Kiandra's friend Chase came over to officially ask her to go to grad with him (they decided to go together a long time ago already but everyone kept bugging him that "so are we going to grad, or what?" was not an official invitation.) He bought her her favourite Starbucks drink and had the barista write this on the side:

She said yes! I'm so thankful for the friends that my kids have.
