Kaden and his friend Jen attend their high school's production of West Side Story this evening. It worked out perfectly for me because I had to stay at that end of the city for our school's concert anyway so it wasn't even an extra trip to go back and get him. Jen's family invited us for supper and then her Dad drove them to the musical and I drove her brother to our school concert. I got to be the chauffeur to drive Jen home after the musical ended.

How do teachers take a "break" after spending 9 hours at the school? They go for a Dollarama run (with a stop at Walmart & Quiznos for supper) and then head back to school to keep working!

This evening the Junior High youth from our church had their last event before they begin Senior High youth in a few weeks. It was a day that didn't look like it was going to cooperate for a pool party but the weather ended up being perfect.

My friend Janice invited me and Sherry (the kindergarten teacher where I teach) to come for a visit and a swim. It was a lovely afternoon for both.

I received this photo of Kezia and 2 of her soccer friends at a dance recital. I'm so thankful for the friends our kids in their lives.

My friend Janice came out to cheer for Kezia's team as they had their first tournament game. Janice's attendance prompted Kiandra to also come out for the game. The game ended in a 1-0 loss for Kezia's team.

Not many people would willingly choose to spend a weekend away with their co-workers but we would! I work with absolutely amazing people and we met up for late night appetizers after our first (of many!) shopping stops. We laughed, we celebrated awesome news, we ate, talked, and enjoyed our time together.

It was quite a fan club at the last night of musical this evening. Kaden's friend Jennifer, her family, and my friend Janice joined us for a super quick super after school and then we texted the girls this picture as we were waiting in line for the doors to open.
